If I could have the great writers as part of my life, I’d want Borges as my mentor,
Calvino as a friend,
and Márquez as the wandering relative who stays with me every year or two.
Whenever he visits,
it would be a festival of stories.
To me, Márquez’s writing bursts with vivid color sand exotic wonders,
alive with imagination and vitality,
like magical films brought to life.
This time, I sketched some animated illustrations
to capture the vibrant characters and tales
he’s left in my mind.
